Sasha Ilkovich Gerardi

B.S., Therapeutic Recreation

The first Huskies’ field hockey player to be named the Little East Conference Player of the Year, Sasha Ilkovich Gerardi, Class of 2001, transferred to Southern Maine after playing her first two seasons at Radford University.  During her two seasons in Gorham, Ilkovich Gerardi was a first team All-Little East Conference pick in 2000 and 2001, and also earned National Field Hockey Coaches’ Association All-Region honors in 2001. 

In her final season, 2001, Ilkovich Gerardi finished third in the LEC in scoring with 12 goals and a pair of assists, helping Southern Maine to a 13-9 overall record and a berth into the ECAC Division III New England Championships.  Five of Ilkovich Gerardi’s goals during her 2001 season went for game-winners. 

Earning her degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Southern Maine in 2003, Ilkovich Gerardi and her husband own and operate Gerardi’s Café.  Through their restaurant operation, Ilkovich Gerardi and her husband contribute time and money to various community organizations.
