      A two-time All-American outfielder for the Huskies’ perennially successful baseball team, Ryan Bourque established himself as one of Southern Maine’s outstanding power hitters early in his career. Playing and starting in 169 career games, Bourque hit an outstanding .356 over four seasons, collecting 237 career hits while driving in 172 runs. During his four-year career the Huskies had a record of 115 wins, 59 losses and one tie.

      More than a decade after his final at-bat, Bourque’s name still litters the USM record book.  Ranked fifth in career RBI (172), Bourque is also in the top ten for home runs (24), seventh in total bases (383), and seventh in doubles (52). Additionally, the former Husky outfielder is 12th all-time in hits.

      Named an ABCA All-American in his junior year (2006), Bourque helped the Huskies to the Little East Conference regular-season title and a berth in the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship tournament. During the 2006 season, Bourque hit an outstanding .395 with 73 hits in 185 at-bats with a career-best 53 RBI.  A two-year captain (2006, 2007), Bourque repeated as an All-American as a senior, and was named the 2007 Little East Conference Player of the Year among numerous honors. 

      Employed as a Transmission and Distribution Supervisor at the Portland Water District, Bourque earned his degree in Business Administration, and is the sole proprietor of Ryan Bourque Plumbing, LLC.
