Southern Maine Athletics

Captain of the 1995 and 1996 Huskies’ field hockey teams, Erika Allen Gould was a second team regional All- American in 1996. With Gould on the field, Southern Maine earned three trips to the ECAC Division III New England Championship tournament. 

During the 1996 season, Southern Maine out-scored its opponents 35-18 over the course of 19 games and won eight consecutive games to open the season. Gould recorded three goals and two assists in her final season with the Huskies for eight points. 

During that 1996 season, Gould helped orchestrated wins over Husky rivals Keene State and Plymouth State and a win over NCAA Division II program UMass Lowell. 

Gould earned her degree in Business Administration from Southern Maine in 1998. Since her graduation, Gould has worked with the American Cancer Society. In her position with the American Cancer Society, Gould recruits high school and intercollegiate teams throughout the State of Maine to host fund raising and awareness events.
