Colin Reilly, Men’s Soccer, Class of 2009
A three-time all-conference defender, Collin Reilly’s career as a Husky was marked by an upward trajectory, helping the Huskies to success on the field and culminating in his selection as the 2008 Little East Conference Defensive Player of the Year, a first-team All-Conference pick and a spot on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-New England Region team.
As a junior, Reilly repeated as an all-conference selection, as USM finished second-place finishin the LEC, and scored the second goal of his career, a game-winning overtime marker in a 2-1 triumph against Salem State, helping secure the Huskies’ postseason bid into the ECAC tourney. As a senior, Reilly led Southern Maine to the 2008 Little East Conference regular season title with a record of 6-1 in conference play and an overall record of 12-9-1. Tallying one assist in his final season, Reilly was recognized for his play on the field and for his outstanding four years of intercollegiate leadership as the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year and a spot on the All-LEC first team. Honored with a spot on the All-New England Region (fourth) team, Reilly was also selected to play in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior All-Star Game.
A four-time William B. Wise Scholar Athlete, Reilly completed his degree in Business Administration in 2009, and went on to earn his Juris Doctorate at the University of Denver Sturm School of Law in 2016. Earning his Bar Admission to six states/districts, Reilly is presently an Associate Attorney with Bourque, Clegg, Causey & Morin in Sanford, Maine.
