John Ham, Jr. of Falmouth, another 1938 graduate of Gorham State Teachers College, played basketball and baseball for four years, and was captain of the hoop team in 1936. He also played four years of tennis and ran track for the 1938 squad. Ham, a former assistant principal at Deering High, was secretary of the men’s athletic association at GSTC, served as class president and was president of the student council. He is retired school administrator.
