Southern Maine Athletics

Rick Simonds, also of South Windham, class of 1972, is currently athletic director and men’s basketball coach at St. Joseph’s College. He is recognized as one of the most successful coaches in New England. As an undergraduate English major, Simonds played baseball, basketball, and soccer.  Simonds was a co-captain and MVP in both baseball and basketball. He is still ranked in several USM career statistical categories.
