Dennis Ray McDonald of Surry, class of 1973, was one of the slickest fielders in the state’s history. He captained the Huskies in 1973 and was voted team MVP in 1972 and 1973. The history major taught in Hancock schools until 1981. An active youth league coach, he is currently self-employed.
