A two-year team captain, Dane Marshall finished his Huskies’ career as a three-time All-ECAC selection as a defenseman.  During his career (2004-2008), Marshall earned recognition for his outstanding play from the ECAC, New England Hockey Writers Association (NEWHA) and ECAC-East.  

The Huskies’ career-leader in games played (106), Marshall helped guide his teams to a record of 56-41-9.  Ranked in Southern Maine’s top 25 for career points (68), Marshall is sixth in Husky career record books with 61 assists. 

Earning his Business Administration degree from Southern Maine in 2008, Marshall was a standout student-athlete earning ECAC All-Academic Team honors as a sophomore, junior and senior.  Additionally, Marshall was recognized by the Department of Athletics for his excellence in the classroom as a three-time William B. Wise Scholar Athlete.  

After graduation, Marshall continued his playing career on the professional level as part of Central Hockey League’s Mississippi River Kings. Playing three seasons in the CHL, Marshall was named to the CHL’s All-Rookie team 

in his inaugural season.
