Four Huskies Earn Little East Conference Post-Season Honors

GORHAM, Maine  – University of Southern Maine Huskies' senior Olivia Levasseur (Amesbury, Mass.) and sophomore Aislin Davis (Tewksbury, Mass.) each earned a spot on the 2026 All-Little East Conference Second Team, while freshmen Emily Wheeler (Old Town, Maine) and Avery Moore (Dublin, NH) were named to the LEC All-Rookie Team. 
 
Earning a starting role in the Huskies' outfield as a rookie, Moore played and started in 23 games before being sidelined with injury.  Hitting .406 (26-for-64), Moore had a .465 on-base percentage with 16 runs scored and five RBI. Moore had nine games with at least two hits, and collected a season-high three in a 3-for-3 effort with two runs scored and an RBI in an 8-2 win over the University of New England.  Defensively, Moore was solid in left field with 23 putouts and an assist. 
 
Named the Little East Conference Rookie of the Week twice during the season, Wheeler served as the Huskies' starting third baseman in her first year.  The Huskies' second-leading hitter, Wheeler hit .433 (52-for-120) with seven doubles and a team-leading five triples.  Batting near the top of the order, Wheeler had 13 RBI and a team-leading 27 runs scored. Ending her first season with a 14-game hitting streak, Wheeler had 17 games with two or more hitting, collecting a season-high three hits on three occasions, including a 3-for-5 effort with three RBI and two runs scored in a 10-7 win over WestConn. Wheeler finished the season fielding her position well with a .928 percentage with 31 putouts and 46 assists.
 
Patrolling right field for the Huskies, Davis earned LEC Player of the Week honors once during the 2026 season.  Enjoying a breakout sophomore campaign, Davis led the Huskies' in batting average at .471 and on-base percentage at .495, collecting 41 hits in 87 at-bats with 22 runs scored. Recording 11 multi-hit games, Davis had five games with three hits, including going 3-for-4 in back-to-back wins over the University of New England. Defensively, Davis had 42 put outs and one assist.
 
Earning all-conference honors for the first time in her career, Levasseur has been the Huskies' starting shortstop the last two seasons, and enjoyed one of her best seasons offensively and defensively. Hitting .330 (38-for-115), Levasseur had a career-best 24 RBI with five doubles and a triple.  Outstanding defensively, Levasseur fielded a career-best .983 with 70 assists and 48 putouts, helping turn a trio of double plays. Recording her 100th career hit in a non-conference doubleheader sweep of Salem State University, Levasseur completed her career hitting .274 with 115 hits in 419 at-bats, scoring 70 runs and 59 RBI.  Fielding .954 for her career, Levasseur had 200 putouts and 323 assists in 151 career games played.
 
Southern Maine concluded its 2026 season with a record of 23-12.
