GORHAM, Maine –  Join the University of Southern Maine Huskies' softball team and coaching staff for a series of four winter softball pitching and hitting clinics and be prepared for the upcoming 2022 season.  The four clinics – for softball players ages 8-18 – will be held at the Costello Sports Complex Fieldhouse in Gorham, Maine on January 23, January 30, February 6 and February 13 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Register Online (https://usm.maine.edu/athletic-camps-clinics/softball-pitching-hitting-clinic)
 
Each 90-minute clinic will focus on pitching or hitting ranging from fundamentals to advanced techniques.  Each clinic is $25 per player or $90 for all four clinics.  Coach Jamo, the 2021 Little East Conference Coach of the Year, and her pitching staff will lead the pitching clinic, while her position players will lead hitting instruction. Each Sunday will progress according to the players' abilities.
 
Led by Coach Jamo, a two-time conference coach of the year selection, the Huskies' softball team is coming off of a historic season with a record of 31-6-1 and a record of 15-1 in the Little East Conference.  During the season, the Huskies established a record for consecutive wins (15) and set the program record for best winning percentage (.829).  Earning the Little East Conference regular season championship for the first time since the 1999 season, the Huskies' also earned the program's first berth into the NCAA tournament for the first time in 22 seasons. 
 

• Indoor masking and symptom checks will be required at check-in. 
• Catchers are not needed for the pitchers participating in the clinic.
• As a fundraiser, all proceeds go directly into the softball team's fundraising account.
• No refunds for no shows, or transfers to other camps or clinics.
