GORHAM, Maine – Junior Will Farschon (Brunswick, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's golf team has been named the Little East Conference Golfer of the Week for the week ending on September 13. Farschon earned the medalist honor at the John Queenan Memorial Invitational last Wednesday at Point Sebago Golf Course.
 
Farschon finished two-under-par on Wednesday with a 70 to place first in a field of 64 competitors on the 6,474-yard course. His round included four birdies. Farschon is in his first year with the Huskies' men's golf program after spending two years at Southern Maine Community College.
 
The Huskies will send teams to three event events this weekend. One team will play in the two-day Castleton Invitational at Rutland Country Club in Vermont, while a second team will compete at the UMaine Farmington Invitational on Saturday at Waterville Country Club and at the Colby Sid Farr Invitational on Sunday.
