BALTIC, Conn. – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's golf team finished second in the field of seven teams on Monday afternoon at the Eastern Connecticut State University Warrior Collegiate Invitational at Mohegan Sun Golf Club. The Huskies shot 300 (+16) as a team to finish behind Eastern Connecticut State (285, +1) and American International College (289, +5). Freshman
SJ Welch (Newport, Maine/Nokomis Regional) led the Huskies with a 73 (+2) to place 10th. He had birdies on the fifth and 12th holes, and shot one-under-par on the back nine.
Junior
Will Farschon (Brunswick, Maine) placed 11th with a score of 74 (+3). Farschon shot par of 13 holes and had a birdie on the 12th hole. Senior
Quinn Dillon (Gorham, Maine) tied for 12th with a 75 (+4) and birdied the 10th hole.

Alex Fournier (Augusta, Maine/Cony) placed 23rd with a 78 (+7) and had a birdie on the 13th hole. Junior
Jaden Poirier (White River Junction, Vt./Hartford) tied for 24th with a score of 79 (+8). He led the team in birdies with three.

The Huskies will send teams to three event events this weekend. One team will play in the two-day Castleton Invitational at Rutland Country Club in Vermont, while a second team will compete at the UMaine Farmington Invitational on Saturday at Waterville Country Club and at the Colby Sid Farr Invitational on Sunday.
