BRUNSWICK, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's cross country team finished fourth at Saturday's Maine State Meet at Bowdoin College led by a 12th place performance from senior captain
Michael Cyr (Caribou, Maine). Cyr ran the 8k in 26:33.54 to place 12th and was ninth among NCAA Division III runners. Freshman
Harry Dunne (Hollis Center, Maine/Bonny Eagle) placed 16th with a time of 26:41.54.
Three other Huskies finished in the top 50. Junior captain
Cyrus Evans (Farmington, Maine/Mt. Blue) placed 36th with a time of 27:25.62. Freshman
Evan Schneider (Old Orchard Beach, Maine/Old Orchard Beach) finished 40th with a time of 27:36.01. Sophomore
Preston Gerry (Gray, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) claimed the final spot in the top 50 with a time of 27:49.50.
On the Course:
- Freshman Camden Cyr (Kittery, Maine/Traip Academy) placed 69th with a time of 28:54.38.
- Junior Aidan Pecoraro (Westbrook, Maine) finished 75th at 29:11.98.
- Freshman Gavin Gerry (Gray, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) placed 79th with a time of 29:32.56.
- Junior Kyle Hartford (South Portland, Maine) ran a time of 29:38.08 to place 82nd.
- Senior Camden Bessey (Westbrook, Maine) clocked in at 29:45.23 to place 84th.
- Freshman Tristan Plumb (Merrimack, N.H.) finished 92nd with a time of 30:19.11.
- Freshman Ethan Cadorette (Biddeford, Maine) placed 94th with a time of 30:42.44.
- Sophomore Jack Tassinari (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) ran a time of 32:07.85 to place 106th.
