Eleanor Folsom (Winthrop, Maine) and
Jaigan Boudreau (Dayton, Maine/Thornton Academy) each earned weekly accolades from the Little East Conference to start the 2025 season. Folsom was named the Goalkeeper of the Week, while Boudreau earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for the Huskies.
Folsom was named the LEC Goalkeeper of the Week after going 1-1 while turning away 21 of 22 shots on target for the Huskies to kick off the 2025 season for a .955 save percentage. She had career and season-high 13 saves in a 2-0 victory over Mount Holyoke after stopping eight shots in a 1-0 loss to UNE.
Boudreau was named the LEC Defensive Player of the Week after totaling three defensive saves in a 1-1 week for the Huskies, who allowed one goal over their first two matches of the season. She had two defensive saves and scored a goal in USM's 2-0 triumph over Mount Holyoke after notching a defensive stop in a 1-0 setback to University of New England.
Southern Maine hits the road for a tough test on Tuesday, facing No. 8 Bates College at 7:00 pm.
