GORHAM, Maine – Junior Maggie Jones (St. John's, Newfoundland/Mount Academy) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's ice hockey team has been named the Little East Conference Goaltender of the Week after recording a 25-save shutout on Friday night in a 1-0 win against the Keene State College Owls. This is the first weekly award of her Southern Maine career.
 
Jones stopped seven shots in the first period, 10 in the second and another eight in the third to log her third shutout of the season. On the season, Jones has a .952 save percentage and a 1.45 goals against average in 536:40 in goal.
 
The Huskies close out the 2025 calendar year with a home game tomorrow night against Bowdoin College at 7:00 pm and a road game against Johnson & Wales University on Friday at 4:00 pm.
