KEENE, N.H. – Senior captain
Michael Cyr (Caribou, Maine) finished 44th overall with a time of 26:01.2 in the 8k on Saturday to lead the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's cross country team at the Keene State Invitational. The Huskies placed ninth out of 26 teams in the team standings.
Junior captain
Cyrus Evans (Farmington, Maine/Mt. Blue) and freshman
Harry Dunne (Hollis Center, Maine/Bonny Eagle) also finished in the top 100 runners at the event. Evans clocked in at 26:55.7 to place 77th. Dunne ran the course in 26:57.1 to place 80th.
On the Course:
- Freshman Evan Schneider (Old Orchard Beach, Maine/Old Orchard Beach) placed 106th with a time of 27:24.2.
- Sophomore Preston Gerry (Gray, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) ran a time of 27:38.3 to place 118th.
- Senior Camden Bessey (Westbrook, Maine) placed 148th with a time of 28:23.5.
- Freshman Camden Cyr (Kittery, Maine/Traip Academy) placed 158th with a time of 28:33.3.
- Freshman Gavin Gerry (Gray, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) placed 179th with a time of 28:55.2
- Junior Aidan Pecoraro (Westbrook, Maine) finished in 29:03.9 to place 186th.
- Freshman Tristan Plumb (Merrimack, N.H.) had a time of 29:29.8 and finished 193rd.
- Junior Kyle Hartford (South Portland, Maine) ran a time of 29:34.9 to place 197th.
- Freshman Ethan Cadorette (Biddeford, Maine) finished in 30:59.3 to place 238th.
