GORHAM, Maine  -  Two-time NCAA Division III All-American Jake Craig (Norridgewock, Maine/Skowhegan) enters the 2025-2026 ranked fifth in the nation in the first National Wrestling Coaches' Association (NWCA) Division III Top 15 Coaches' Poll.
 
Earning All-American honors in 2023 and 2025, Craig is among the elite wrestlers at 133 lbs.  Craig is also ranked first in the NWCA D3 Individual Rankings at the same weight class.  A three-time NCAA National Championship qualifier, Craig placed sixth at the 2025 championship competing at 125 lbs. Wrestling at both 125 and 133 lbs during the 2024-2025 season, Craig completed his outstanding third-year as a Husky with a record of 28-8, and is one of just three Husky wrestlers in program history to earn the title of All-American more than once in their career. One of the best in the nation since his rookie season, Craig, a three-time All-Region performer, enters his final season with a record of 82-20.

Joining Craig in the NWCA regional rankings is junior Kyle Moore (Kennebunk, Maine/Division Avenue (New York)). Finishing his sophomore season with a strong 26-11 record, Moore enters his junior campaign ranked third in-region by the NWCA.  Moore narrowly missed out on a bid to the national championship tournament a season ago, placing fourth at the regional championship but securing All-Northeast Region honors. A dominant grappler, Moore had six wins by fall, and four wins by technical fall, and was named a 2025 New England Wrestling Association Honorable Mention pick.  He begins the 2025-2026 season with a record of 43-22.
 
 
 
Southern Maine opens its season on the road on Friday, November 1 (2:00 pm) at Bridgewater State University in a dual meet. The Huskies will host their annual Ted Reese Invitational on Saturday, December 6 (10:00 am).
