STANDISH, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's cross country team placed first in the team standings on Saturday at the Coach Dann Runnin' Monks Classic at Saint Joseph's College of Maine. The Huskies had four runners place in the top 10 led by freshman 
Ethan Cadorette (Biddeford, Maine), who placed fourth in the 8k with a time of 29:27.8. The Huskies beat out Emerson College and Saint Joseph's for the team title at the event.
 
Freshman 
Tristan Plumb (Merrimack, N.H.), junior 
Kyle Hartford (South Portland, Maine) and senior 
Camden Bessey (Westbrook, Maine) also placed in the top 10. Plumb ran a time of 30:29.8 to place sixth, Hartford placed seventh with a time of 30:34.1, and Bessey clocked in at 30:45.8 to place eighth.
 
Sophomore 
Jack Tassinari (Wilbraham, Mass./Minnechaug Regional) placed 11th with a time of 31:45.1. Tassinari and Cadorette both ran personal-best times in the 8k.
 
The Huskies beat out Emerson College and Saint Joseph's for the team title at the event.
