HOPKINTON, N.H. – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's cross country placed 19th on Friday afternoon at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H. The Huskies ranked third among NCAA Division III teams in the field. Freshman
Harry Dunne (Hollis Center, Maine/Bonny Eagle) was the top finisher for Southern Maine with a personal-best time of 26:24.61 on the 8k course to place 118th.
On the Course:
- Freshman Evan Schneider (Old Orchard Beach, Maine/Old Orchard Beach) was the second Husky to cross the finish line and placed 138th with a time of 26:41.37.
- Sophomore Preston Gerry (Gray, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) ran a time of 27:08.21 to place 162nd. His time is a personal-best.
- Junior captain Cyrus Evans (Farmington, Maine/Mt. Blue) finished 176th with a time of 27:22.62.
- Freshman Camden Cyr (Kittery, Maine/Traip Academy) placed 202nd with a personal-best time of 27:59.01.
- Freshman Gavin Gerry (Gray, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester) ran a personal-best time of 28:04.80 to place 206th.
- Junior Aidan Pecoraro (Westbrook, Maine) placed 231st with a personal-best time of 28:45.95.
