GORHAM, Maine – Seniors Colin DeWitt (Newington, Conn.) and Owen Doyle (Gardiner, Maine) have been named captains of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's golf team for the 2024 season.
 
DeWitt placed 25th at the 2024 Little East Conference Championship with a two-round score of 176 (+36) and played 10 rounds in 2023 with an average round of 86.7. He placed 94th at the 2023 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship with a score of 184 (+40). A Health Sciences major, DeWitt has been named to the LEC Academic Honor Roll four times.
 
Doyle, a Business Management major, played in seven events for the Huskies last season and tied for 79th at the NEIGA Championship. He is a two-time LEC All-Academic Team honoree. Doyle placed 13th in the Huskies' first event of the season last week with an 82 (+10).
 
The next event on the schedule for the Huskies is the USM Cup on Saturday at Riverside Golf Course.
