GORHAM, Maine – Graduate student Remy Levin (Steep Falls, Maine/Bonny Eagle) has been named team captain for the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's golf team for the 2026-27 season.
 
Levin, who was the medalist and Player of the Year at the inaugural Little East Conference Women's Golf Championship last fall, is the top returner for the Huskies. Her two-round score of 170 (+26) at the LEC Championship won her the event by a stroke. Levin also earned All-New England honors by placing sixth at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championships with a two-round score of 165 (+21). Levin recorded seven top 10 individual finishes last season and was named the LEC Player of the Week four times. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Teaching and Learning after earning her undergraduate degree in English in May.
 
The Huskies will host the Southern Maine Cup on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Riverside Golf Course as their first event of the season.
