GORHAM, Maine – Junior
Belle Steeves (South Paris, Maine/Oxford Hills) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's golf team has earned 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors as part of the At-Large program, which covers USM-sponsored sports of field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, golf, and wrestling.

To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. For golf, the student-athlete also must have been in the lineup for 75 percent of an institution's team scoring events or in the lineup at the conference championship tournament.

A Second Team All-Little East Conference performer last season, Steeves placed 10th at the conference championship with a two-round score of 194 (+50). The junior broke 100 five times during the season and shot a season-low of 94 on three separate occasions. A Health Sciences major, Steeves was named to the Fall 2025 LEC All-Academic Team and is a William B. Wise Scholar-Athlete.Â
