GORHAM, Maine – Senior
Rhys Bridges (Oakland, Maine/Messalonskee) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's lacrosse team has earned 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honor. Bridges is being honored as part of the At-Large program which covers USM-sponsored sports of field hockey, ice hockey, lacrosse, golf, and wrestling.

To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. For lacrosse, the student-athlete also must have competed in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.

Bridges, a two-year member of the team, played in all 15 games this season and started in 14. He finished the year tied for second on the team in goals with 13 and fourth in points with 17. Bridges has been a key offensive contributor for the Huskies over the past two seasons with 25 goals and 13 assists in 31 games. In his first season with the Huskies in 2025, he tied for the most assists on the team with nine and ranked in the top three in both points with 21 and goals with 12. He recently graduated with his degree in History.
