Three Members of Southern Maine Women’s Track & Field Team Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

GORHAM, Maine – Three members of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's track & field team have earned All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2026 outdoor season. Senior Jaigan Boudreau (Dayton, Maine/Thornton Academy) earned All-Region in both the shot put and discus. Seniors Riley Reitchel (Palermo, Maine/Erskine Academy) and Alexis Karantza (Westbrook, Maine) were honored for the javelin and 400-meter hurdles, respectively.

The top-8 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Athletic.net Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-8 relay teams. Boudreau has now earned All-Region honors in both events four times.

Reitchel ranked third in the regional in the javelin with a mark of 42.09m and ended the season ranked 19th nationally to earn a spot in this weekend's 2026 NCAA Division III National Championships. Her mark won her the LEC title in the event. Reitchel placed fourth at Nationals last season to earn First Team All-American honors. She has now earned All-Region honors in the javelin three times. She will compete in the javelin at the National Championship Meet on Saturday at 3:00 pm.

Karantza ranked eighth in the region in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:04.70 that came at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championship.
