GORHAM, Maine –Freshman Ryker Paradis (Lewiston, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's track & field team has earned his second consecutive Little East Conference Field Rookie of the Week award following a pair of top three finishes at the University of New Hampshire Jim Boulanger Invitational on Saturday. 
 
Paradis placed second in the shot put with a throw of 16.40m and third in the discus in a mark of 44.29m. All six of his throws in the shot put at the meet ranked in the top 10 in program history. He currently ranks 12th in NCAA Division III in the shot put with a mark of 16.75m.
 
The Huskies have two meets scheduled for this weekend. The first is the Silfen Elite Distance Carnival on Friday, April 10 at Connecticut College. The second is the Southern New Hampshire University Ed Daniels Invitational on Saturday, April 11.
