GORHAM, Maine – Freshman Ryker Paradis (Lewiston, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's track & field team has earned the Little East Conference Field Rookie of the Week award for the third consecutive week. Paradis placed first in the shot put on Saturday at the Southern New Hampshire Ed Daniels Invitational with a program-record mark of 17.25m. His mark currently ranks ninth in NCAA Division III and first in the East region.
 
Paradis also placed second in the discus at Saturday's meet with a personal-best toss of 48.25m. The distance ranks fourth in the region and 31st nationally.
 
The next meet for Paradis and the Huskies is the Pine Tree State Meet on Friday and Saturday at Bates College.
