GORHAM, Maine – Head coach Rob Whitten and the University of Southern Maine women's track & field coaching staff have been named the 2026 Little East Conference Women's Coaching Staff of the Year after leading the Huskies to their sixth consecutive, and 25th overall, LEC outdoor title. Southern Maine's staff also consists of assistant coaches Ryan Dyer, Mike Drummey, Jim Giroux, Jim Karcanes and Jeff Amos. The LEC announced its full slate of post-season awards and honors on Thursday morning with all-conference honors going to the top three performers in each event and the top rookie performer in each event.

Senior Jaigan Boudreau (Dayton, Maine/Thornton Academy) earned First Team All-LEC honors after winning conference titles in the shot put (13.00m) and discus (42.84m) with season-bests in each event. She currently ranks 42nd nationally in the shot put and 43rd in the discus. 

Senior Alexis Karantza (Westbrook, Maine), freshman Emma O'Brien (Aurora, Colo./Eaglecrest) and senior Riley Reitchel (Palermo, Maine/Erskine Academy) also earned First Team All-LEC honors. Karantza ran a time of 1:06.10 to win the 400-meter hurdles. O'Brien took first place in the pole vault with a mark of 3.25m and also earned All-Rookie honors. Reitchel recorded a season-best in the javelin with a throw of 42.09m and now ranks 16th nationally. She also earned Second Team All-LEC honors in the pole vault with a mark of 3.10m.

Second Team All-LEC honors were garnered by junior Kiana Goldberg (Sabattus, Maine/Lisbon) in the 100-meter hurdles, sophomore Saya Breiting-Brown (Portland, Maine/Deering) in the 400-meter hurdles, freshman Florence Guimont (Boisbriand, Quebec/Laval Senior) in the 3000-meter steeplechase and the 4x800 relay team of sophomore Meghan Przybilla (St. Anthony, Minn./St. Anthony Village), senior Whitney Davenport (Westbrook, Maine), senior Anabel Melanson (West Warren, Mass./Quaboag) and senior AnnMarie Limberger (Vassalboro, Maine/Waterville). Goldberg clocked in at 15.03 seconds and is now tied for fifth in program history. Breiting-Brown ran a personal-best time of 1:08.77 to place second in the 400-meter hurdles. Guimont earned both Second Team and All-Rookie honors in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best time 12:04.06. The 4x800 team's time of 10:05.36 ranks sixth in program history.'

Huskies to earn Third Team All-LEC honors include junior Gwen Catalano (Buxton, Maine/Bonny Eagle) in the 5000 meters with a time of 18:23.21 and freshman Madi Sainis (Pierrefords, Quebec) in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:54.74. Both athletes set personal bests. Sainis also earned All-Rookie honors.
