Ryker Paradis (Lewiston, Maine) and senior
Maddox Cahill (Sunapee, N.H.) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's track & field team have each earned weekly awards from the Little East Conference for their performance at the Pine Tree State Classic. Paradis was named both the Field Athlete of the Week and the Field Rookie of the Week. Cahill was chosen as the Track Athlete of the Week. This marks Paradis' fourth consecutive Field Rookie of the Week honor and his first Field Athlete of the Week honor for the outdoor season. Cahill has now won the Track Athlete of the Week award twice during the outdoor season.

Paradis won three event titles over the weekend and earned the meet's Frederick D Tootel Memorial Award as the most valuable field performer. He started the weekend by winning the javelin on Friday with a throw of 53.67m. He then added titles in the shot put (17.04m) and discus (50.00m) on Saturday. He currently ranks 11th in NCAA Division III in the shot put with a mark of 17.25m and 22nd in the discus with his throw of 50.00m.

Cahill won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.50 seconds. His season-best time of 53.83 seconds ranks 30th nationally.

The next meet for the Huskies will be the 2026 Little East Conference Championships on Saturday, April 25 at Eastern Connecticut State University.
