ATLANTA, Ga. – Senior Riley Reitchel (Palermo, Maine/Erskine Academy) of the University of Southern Maine women's track & field team placed second in the javelin with a throw of 38.26m on Friday at the Emory Thrills in the Hills Invitational. Senior Alexis Karantza (Westbrook, Maine) also had a top 10 finish by placing sixth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:05.45.
 
Senior Janiah Young (Perkinsville, Vt./Windsor) placed 11th in the 200 meters with a time of 25.30 seconds. Junior Gwen Catalano (Buxton, Maine/Bonny Eagle) also ran for the Huskies and placed 30th in the 5000 meters with a time of 19:32.45.
 
The meet concludes tomorrow with the first events starting at 9:15 am.
