2026 NCAA Northeast Wrestling Regional: Craig & Moore Punch Tickets to NCAA National Championship

Craig, K. Moore & S. Moore Earn All-Region Honors

NEW LONDON, Conn.   -  Senior Jake Craig (Norridgewock, Maine/Skowhegan) and junior Kyle Moore (Kennebunk, Maine/Division Avenue (NY)) are headed to Cedar Rapids, Iowa after punching their tickets to the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championship Tournament (March 13-14) at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse.

Craig became just the third Husky in program history to claim the title of NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Champion, winning the 133-pound bracket. Securing his fourth consecutive bid to the NCAA national tourney, Craig is now a four-time All-Region (2023, 2024, 2025, 2026) wrestler and will seek to add his third NCAA All-America honor after achieving the distinction in 2023 and 2025.  Posting a perfect 4-0 record at the regional championship, Craig is 116-24 in his career and now sits in fifth place in the Huskies' all-time wins leader board.  Sitting at 32-2 headed into the national championship tourney, is one of eight Southern Maine wrestlers to earn 100 wins in their career: 1. Dan Del Gallo (137); T2. Mike Morin (133); T2. Peter Del Gallo (133); 4. CJ Luth (120); 5. Jake Craig (116); 6. Colby Frost (115); 7. Brendan Weir (110); 8. Mike Risti (103).

Earning all-region honors for the second time in his career (2025, 2026), Kyle Moore will head to nationals for the first time in his career.  The Huskies' junior finished second overall at 141 lbs, and is 21-3 overall. Narrowly missing out on the 2025 national tourney with a fourth place finish a season ago, Moore earned a dominant 9-0 win over Trinity College's Ty Trickle in the semifinal of his bracket to secure his spot in Iowa.  Moore and Trickle had met less than two weeks ago with Moore eking out a 13-10 (SV-1) decision.

Sophomore Shane Moore (Kennebunk, Maine/Division Avenue (NY)) finished eighth in the 149-pound bracket, earning a podium spot and NCAA All-Region honors for the first time in his career. Moore finished his first regional championship with a 3-3 record.
