GORHAM, Maine – Three-time NCAA Division III All-American
Jake Craig (Norridgewock, Maine/Skowhegan) earned first team All-New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) honors to highlight a trio of award winners for the University of Southern Maine Huskies wrestling program.
Junior
Kyle Moore (Kennebunk, Maine/Division Avenue (NY)) was named to the All-NEWA second team, while sophomore
Shane Moore (Kennebunk, Maine/Division Avenue (NY)) earned honorable mention honors.
Craig wrapped up a stellar career becoming the program's first ever three-time NCAA All-American (2023, 2025, 2026), placing fourth at the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championship (133 lbs). A four-time NCAA Qualifier and four-time NCAA All-Region wrestler, Craig put together a remarkable 35-4 record in 2025-2026. At the 2026 NCAA Northeast Regional Championship, Craig became just the third Husky in program history to claim the title of NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Champion, winning the 133-pound bracket. Fifth in all-time wins (119) in Husky wrestling history, Craig completed his four seasons with a record of 119-26. Craig is now a three-time All-NEWA selection earning second team honors in 2023 and 2024, and was the 2023 NEWA Rookie of the Year. A College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, Craig is completing his degree in Cyber Security.
Earning All-Region honors for the second consecutive season (2025, 2026),
Kyle Moore's selection to the All-NEWA second team is the first of his career. Moore was named NEWA Honorable Mention in 2025, and to the All-Rookie team in 2024. Competing at 141 lbs, Moore finished second at the 2026 NCAA Division III Northeast Regional, qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Championship for the first time in his career. Moore finished his 2025-2026 season with a record of 24-5.
Earning post-season honors from NEWA for the first time in his career,
Shane Moore was named the New England Wrestling Association Honorable Mention. Wrestling at 149 lbs, Moore earned NCAA Division III All-Region honors for the first time in his career placing eighth overall. Competing in his the first regional championship of his career, Moore was 3-3 at the tourney, winning three consecutive matches after dropping his opener to secure all-region honors.
