GORHAM, Maine-  Senior Jake Craig (Norridgewock, Maine/Skowhegan) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies wrestling team has been name the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Wrestler of the Week. 
 
A two-time NCAA Division III All-American (2023, 2025), Craig is earning the weekly honor after a perfect 3-0 showing at the 2025 Ursinus College Manganaro Duals hosted in Collegeville, Pa., including his 100^th collegiate win.
 
Ranked sixth nationally at 133 lbs, Craig had a crushing 17-2 win by technical fall in his match against Albright's Max Conley, and then earned a 2:18 win by fall over McDaniel's Isaiah Brewster.  Craig's most impressive win of the day however game with a decisive 8-1 decision over Jacob Blair of Arcadia – the number three ranked wrestler at 133 lbs.  Craig is now an outstanding 20-2 so far in the 2025-2026 season, and is a remarkable 101-22 in his career.
 
Craig and the rest of the Southern Maine squad is back in action at the 2025 NEWA Duals hosted by Johnson and Wale University on Sunday, January 25 (10:00 am).
