CASCO, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's golf team placed second in a five-team field at the John Queenan Memorial Invitational hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine at Point Sebago Golf Course on Wednesday. Senior
Remy Levin (Steep Falls, Maine/Bonny Eagle) finished second on the individual leaderboard with an 82 (+10). The best three scores from each team counted for the team score for the event.

The Huskies had a team score of (286, +70) to place second behind Southern Maine Community College's 269 (+53). Junior
Belle Steeves (South Paris, Maine/Oxford Hills) joined Levin as a top 10 performer with a 94 (+22) to place seventh.

On the Course:
- Sophomore Ryley Meyer (North Sioux City, S.D./Dakota Valley) and senior Mackenzie Kingsbury (Woodsville, N.H.) each shot a 110 (+38) and tied for 14th.
- Junior Emma Skolfield (Lisbon, Maine) tied for 16th with a 114 (+42).
- Junior Meaghan May (Framingham, Mass.) placed 20th with a 118 (+46).

The next event for the Huskies will be the USM Cup on Saturday at Riverside Golf Course in Portland. The USM Cup is an annual modified format event that features six holes of scramble, six holes of best ball, and six holes of alternate shot with each team dividing in three scoring pairs.
