GORHAM, Maine – Senior Abby Emerson (Gorham, Maine) will serve as captain of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's tennis team for the 2025 season.
 
Emerson, A Second Team All-Little East Conference in 2023 for singles play, is in her second season as a member of the team. She went 7-3 in singles play in 2023. Her record included four wins at the top singles spot. An Exercise Science major, Emerson was also the Southern Maine representative on the LEC All-Sportsmanship Team in 2023.
 
The Huskies host Thomas College this afternoon in a non-conference match at Gorham High School.
