Jake Craig (Norridgewock, Maine/Skowhegan) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' wrestling team each earned first team All-New England Wrestling Association honors, while junior
Kyle Moore (Kennebuk, Maine/Division Avenue (NY)) picked up honorable mention honors, and first-year wrestler
Jason Canavan-Dwyer (Keene, NH/Keene) was named the 2024-2025 NEWA All-Rookie Team.
A two-time NCAA Division III All-American, earning the honor consecutively in 2024 and 2025 at 149 lbs, Frost wrapped up his incredible career as a Husky as a three-time NCAA National Championship Qualifier, and a four-time All-Region wrestler. Earning his 100
th career win during the 2024-2025 season, Frost finished his senior year with a remarkable record of 38-4.
As a Health Sciences major, Frost is three-time National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Scholar All-American, and a 2024 College Sports Communicator Academic All-District selection. Earning first team All-NEWA honors for the first time in his career, Frost has been recognized by the organization with post-season honors each of his four years, earning second team honors as a freshman (2022), honorable mention honors as a sophomore (2023), and second team honors as a junior (2024).
A three-time NCAA National Championship Qualifier, and a three-time All-Region wrestler, Craig earned the second NCAA Division III All-American honor of his career (2023, 2025) as a junior. Wrestling at both 125 and 133 lbs, Craig completed his outstanding third-year as a Husky with a record of 28-8, and joins Frost as one of just three Husky wrestlers in program history to earn the title of All-American more than once in their career. A consistent performer for the Huskies since his first season (2022-2023), Craig was named the 2023 New England Wrestling Association Rookie of the Year, and is a two-time All-NEWA performer earning second team honors in both 2023 and 2024. As a three-time NWCA Scholar All-American, and a 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, Craig is working towards a degree in Cyber Security. Craig will enter his final season as a Husky with a record of 82-20.
In a strong sophomore season, Moore secured 2024 NCAA All-Northeast Region honors placing fourth at 141 pounds and narrowly missing out on a bid to the national championship tournament. Ranked in the region for a majority of the season, Moore finished the 2024-2025 season with a record of 26-11, including six wins by fall, and four wins by technical fall. A 2024 NEWA All-Rookie selection, Moore is earning his degree in Exercise Science. Moore will enter his junior season with a record of 43-22.
Canavan-Dwyer earns a spot on the NEWA All-Rookie squad after a solid freshman season competing as a heavyweight for the Huskies, posting a 12-12 record including five wins by fall. Named the NEWA Rookie of the Week once during the season, Canavan-Dwyer earned the recognition after a 4-1 decision against the no. 5 ranked wrestler in the region as USM earned a 25-17 win over Rhode Island College. Canavan-Dwyer is a Business Finance major.
