GORHAM, Maine – Three members of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' softball team have earned 2024-2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors. Earning the academic distinction were a trio of juniors: Alana Delisle (Amesbury, Mass.),
Mackenzie Renner (Alton, NH/Prospect Mountain) and
Kendall Migliorini (Salem, NH).
To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher. They also must have competed in 90 percent or started in 66 percent of their institution's games. For softball pitchers, it is 17 appearances or 25 innings pitched. The 2024-25 Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Recently earning first team All-Little East Conference honors as the Huskies' first baseman, Migliorini hit a team-best .297 (33-for-111) with a team-high 23 RBI. Collecting 14 doubles and three home runs during the season, she had a .505 slugging percentage, and scored 21 runs. Playing in all 40 games, Migliorini started 38 and was a strong defensive player fielding .987 with 287 putouts and eight assists and was involved in three double-plays. Setting career-highs in batting average, hits, doubles and home runs as well as RBI, Migliorini had nine games with at least two hits, led by a 3-for-4 effort with four RBI against WestConn to close out the regular season.
A Business Management major, Migliorini is a two-time William B. Wise Scholar-Athlete and a Little East Conference All-Academic selection. Earning 2023 All-LEC Rookie Team honors, Migliorini had career-highs in batting average, hits, doubles, home runs and RBI in her junior campaign. Heading into the 2026 season, Migliorini his a career .262 hitter (69-for-263) with 25 doubles, five home runs, and 48 RBI.
Playing in 37 of the Huskies' 40 games with 28 starts as an outfielder and designated player, Delisle hit .267 with 23 hits in 86 at-bats with three doubles, a triple and six RBI. A steady presence defensively, Delisle had 30 putouts and a career-high three assists from left field. Concluding her 2025 season with a six-game hitting streak (9-for-20), Delisle also had career-bests in on-base percentage and slugging as a junior.
A Nursing major, Delisle is a two-time William B. Wise Scholar-Athlete, and a Little East Conference All-Academic team selection. She is a career .268 hitter (30-for-112).
A catcher and infielder for the Huskies, Renner played a majority of her 39 games this season at third base for the Huskies. Hitting a career-best .292, Renner was 31-for-106 at the plate with 20 runs scored, six doubles, two triples, two home runs and 22 RBI. With a .394 on-base percentage, Renner drew a career-best 15 walks during the 2025 season. Defensively, Renner had 60 putouts and 69 assists from third base, and was a part of two double-plays.
A Piano and Finance major with a minor in honors, Renner is a two-time William B. Wise Scholar Athlete, and a Little East Conference All-Academic team selection. Playing in 104 career games (98 starts), Renner is a .261 career hitter (53-for-203) with 33 runs scored, 10 doubles, four triples, three home runs, and 36 RBI.
Southern Maine concluded the 2025 season with an overall record of 20-20, going 18-12 after its 10-game Florida trip, and 10-6 in the Little East Conference. The Huskies finished the 2025 Little East Conference regular season in second place after being selected to finish fourth in the conference preseason poll.
