GORHAM, Maine – Four members of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's track & field team have earned All-Region honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025 outdoor season. The honorees for the Huskies are senior
Zoe Barnes (New Gloucester, Maine/Gray-New Gloucester), senior
Jaigan Boudreau (Dayton, Maine/Thornton Academy), junior
Alexis Karantza (Westbrook, Maine), and junior
Riley Reitchel (Palermo, Maine/Erskine Academy). All-Region honors are awarded to the top five (5) performers in each men's and women's track & field event and the members of the top three (3) relay teams in each NCAA Division III region from the season-ending descending order list of performances.

Barnes earned All-Region honors in both the discus and shot put for the third consecutive season after setting new program records in each event at the Monks Track & Field Invitational. Her discus mark of 45.60m ranked third in the region and 18th in Division III. She also ranked second in region and 29th nationally in the shot put with a throw of 13.49m. Barnes will compete in the discus at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field on Thursday at 12:00 pm.

Boudreau also ranked in the top five in both the discus and shot put for the second year in a row. She ranked third in the shot put with a throw of 13.02m and fourth in the discus with a mark of 43.74m with both marks coming at the Division III New England Championships. She ranks second in program history in each event behind Barnes. Boudreau was also named an All-Region performer in both events following the 2022 outdoor season.

Karantza is a first-time All-Region honoree. She ranked fifth in the region in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:05.38 that earned her third place at the Southern New Hampshire University Ed Daniels Invitational. She ranks 10th on the program's all-time leaderboard for the event.

Reitchel, who will be joining Barnes at the National Championships, picked up her second All-Region citation in the javelin as the region's leader in the event with a mark of 44.24m. The mark won her the event title at the University of New Hampshire Jim Boulanger Invitational and was the best in Division III at the time. She finished the season ranked fourth in Division III and will compete at the National Championship meet on Thursday at 3:30 pm.
