Liz Cote (Conway, NH/Kennett) each earned a spot on the all-conference second team to highlight the 2024-2025 Little East Conference post-season awards for the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's basketball team. Cote and Wiles represent the first all-conference selections for the Huskies since Victoria Harris (first team) and Jackie Luckhardt (second team) were chosen following the 2021-2022 season.
Just the sixth Husky to earn Rookie of the Year honors from the Little East Conference, Wiles is the first since Kristen Curley earned the honor following the 2017-2018 season. In her first post-season games, Wiles averaged 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 3.7 steals per game while shooting 42.6 percent from the field.
In her second season with Southern Maine, Cote averaged 10.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game for the Huskies. A long-range threat, Cote knocked down a conference-leading 73 three-pointers, shooting 40.3 percent from beyond the arc. Scoring in double-figures in 16 games, Cote matched her career-high with 22 points in a 69-43 win at UMass Boston, shooting 6-for-8 from three. Cote also set career-highs in rebounds with eight in a 58-47 win at Keene State (January 25, 2025), and steals with five in a 74-44 win at UMaine Farmington (November 20, 2024). Through 50 career games, Cote has 542 points, 176 rebounds, 63 assists, 50 steals, and 17 blocked shots to average 10.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals per game. Shooting 39.0 percent from three in her career, Cote has 137 three-pointers to her credit. Her 73 threes in 2024-2025 are fourth in single-season history.
Led by Chadbourne, Southern Maine finished the 2024-25 season with an 18-10 overall record and a 12-4 mark in Little East Conference action. Claiming the third seed for the 2025 LEC women's basketball championship tournament, the Huskies advanced to the championship game of the tournament for the first time since the 2014 season, making their conference-record 27
th appearance all-time. In his two seasons with the Huskies, Chadbourne is 31-24 overall and 22-10 in conference.
