GORHAM, Maine – Freshman
Rohen Brown (Auburn, Maine/Saint Dominic Academy) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's cross country team was chosen as the team's representative for the inaugural Little East Conference Cross Country Sportsmanship Team. A new addition to the conference's cross country year-end awards, the Sportsmanship Team consists of one student-athlete from each member school that is nominated by their head coach.

Brown has competed in five meets during her first season with the Huskies. She placed 37th in the 6k at the LEC Championship last weekend with a time of 25:41.0. Her season-best time in the 6k came at the Maine State Championships when she placed 61st with a time of 25:24.7. Brown has been among the team's top five runners in three of the five meets that she has competed in. A Political Science major, Brown earned the LEC Rookie of the Week award on October 14 following her performance at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships.

The next meet for the Huskies will be the NCAA Division III East Regional Championships on Saturday, November 14 at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H.
