Catalano Places Fifth at LEC Championships to Earn First Team All-LEC honors

KEENE, N.H. – Junior captain Gwen Catalano (Buxton, Maine/Bonny Eagle) placed fifth overall on Saturday with a time of 23:02.70 in the 6k at the 2025 Little East Conference Women's Cross Country Championship to earn First Team All-LEC honors. Her time is a personal-best. This is Catalano's second time earning all-conference honors in cross country as she placed eighth at the conference championship last year to earn a second team nod.
 
The Huskies placed fourth in the team standings. Plymouth State won the conference title with Keene State placing second and UMass Dartmouth placing third. Haley Oliver from Rhode Island College was the conference champion with a time of 21:32.4.
 
On the Course:
  • Senior AnnMarie Limberger (Vassalboro, Maine/Waterville) was the second Husky to finish the race and placed 17th with a personal-best time of 24:15.9.
  • Senior Lucy Depolito (North Andover, Mass.) came in 18th with a time of 24:16.8, a personal-best.
  • Junior Julia Szewc (Hermon, Maine) also ran a personal-best time at 24:53.50 to place 26th.
  • Freshman Aeryn Babson (Standish, Maine/Bonny Eagle) placed 27th with a time of 24:54.6.
  • Senior Anabel Melanson (West Warren, Mass./Quaboag) clocked a personal-best time of 25:17.10 to place 30th.
  • Senior Alexis Karantza (Westbrook, Maine) placed 36th with a time of 25:38.9, a new personal-best.
  • Freshman Rohen Brown (Auburn, Maine/Saint Dominic Academy) finished in 25:41.0 to place 37th.
  • Senior Whitney Davenport (Westbrook, Maine) ran a time of 26:21.6 to place 44th.
  • Junior Elise Schultz (Windham, Maine) placed 56th with a time of 27:39.60.
  • Freshman Tanuja Khedkar (Bridgewater, Nova Scotia) placed 60th with a time of 28:02.90.
