GORHAM, Maine  -  Sophomore Gabe Wagner (Freeport, Maine) of the University of Southern Maine Huskies' men's soccer team has been named the Little East Conference Goalkeeper of the Week. It marks the first LEC honor of 2025 for the Huskies' netminder.
 
In an outstanding effort, Wagner made five saves and played strong defensively to earn a 1-0 shutout win over Keene State in Little East Conference action Saturday. Wagner is third in the LEC in goals against average (1.25 GAA).  This marks his first shutout of 2025, and second of his career. With the win over the Owls, the Huskies are now 1-0-2 in the Little East with draws against Rhode Island College and UMass Dartmouth.
 
The Huskies are at home on Tuesday (7:00 pm) and will host Bowdoin College in a non-conference match up.
