Cole Johnson (Orange, Mass./Ralph C. Mahar) scored the equalizer in the 60
th minute to help the University of Southern Maine Huskies to a 1-1 draw on the road at Maine Maritime Academy in a non-conference men's soccer game Tuesday night at Ritchie Field.

Today marked the 21st meeting between the University of Southern Maine and Maine Maritime Academy. Southern Maine leads the overall series 11-5-4. Maine Maritime defeated the Huskies 1-0 in 2022 and 2-1 in 2023 before both teams battled to a 2-2 draw in 2024.
How It Happened:
- Baur hit a shot to the lower right corner of the net to get the Mariners on the board, striking the ball from outside the 18 on the right side of the field. John-John Dickenson was credited with th assist.
- Johnson tied the game up in the 60th minute deftly hitting the ball over MMA goalkeeper Kole Wayman for his first goal as a Husky. Johnson was set up by senior midfielder Colin Albert (Gorham, Maine) who was credited with the assist.
- The Huskies had a strong chance for a go-ahead goal in the 84th minute, but sophomore Martin Kelly's (Portland, Maine) bid struck off the cross bar and was cleared.
