FARMINGTON, Maine - Four different players scored a goal as the University of Southern Maine Huskies picked up their first win of the season after battling to six draws in their first eight contests defeating the UMaine Farmington Beavers 4-1 in non-conference men's soccer action Wednesday night at Leib Field.

Today marked the 74th meeting between the University of Southern Maine and UMaine Farmington. The Huskies lead the overall series 48-17-9. The Huskies won the 2021 and 2022 meetings. In 2023 both teams battled to a scoreless draw and in 2024, UMF and USM tied at 1-1.
How It Happened:
- Lenge put the Huskies up 1-0 scoring his second goal of the season in the 32nd minute. Lenge calmly tucked away an assist from senior Colin Albert (Gorham, Maine) for the score and the lead which Southern Maine carried through the half.
- UMF fought back early in the second, scoring the equalizer in the 47th minute as Garrett Gendreau completed the assist from Caelan Billings.
- The score remained tied until the 61st minute as Johnson scored the deciding goal on a pass from Graver for the 2-1 lead. With a lead in hand, Sargent scored the first goal of his collegiate career (unassisted) in the 84th minute before Graver made it 4-1 converting the penalty in the 86th for the 4-1 final.
