GORHAM, Maine – Freshman Rohen Brown (Auburn, Maine/Saint Dominic Academy) of University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's cross country team has been named the Little East Conference Rookie of the Week. This is the first conference weekly award of her career.
 
Brown ran a time of 21:57.2 in the 5k on Friday at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association (NEICAAA) Championships at the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H. to place 239th.
 
The next meet for the Huskies will be the Coach Dann Runnin' Monks Classic hosted by Saint Joseph's College of Maine on Saturday, October 18.
