GORHAM, Maine – Junior AnnMarie Limberger (Vassalboro, Maine/Waterville) has been chosen as captain of the University of Southern Maine women's cross country team for the 2024 season.
 
Limberger placed 24th at the 2023 Little East Conference Cross Country Championship and was the third Husky to cross the finish line at the event. She also ran a personal-best 6k time of 25:34.9 at the 2023 NCAA Division III East Region Cross Country Championships to place 119th.
 
An Elementary Education major, Limberger was named to the LEC All-Academic Team for cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field in 2023-24.
 
Limberger and the Huskies will race at the Ron Ouellette Invitational hosted by the University of New England on Saturday, September 7.
