BIDDEFORD, Maine – The University of Southern Maine Huskies' women's cross country team placed second out of three teams at the Ron Ouellette Invitational on Friday afternoon at the University of New England. The Huskies had a trio of runners place in the top 10 led by sophomore Lana DiRusso (Freeport, Maine), who placed second. DiRusso ran the two-mile course in 13:00.7 to finish second to Maya Brochu from the University of New England.
 
Freshman Ava Collamore (Waldoboro, Maine/Medomak Valley) placed seventh with a time of 13:21.7. Fellow freshman Ryley Hubert (Griswold, Conn.) placed eighth with a time of 13:39.8.
 
The meet was won by the hosting Nor'easters, who had seven of the top 10 finishers.
 
On the Course:

• Senior Julia Szewc (Hermon, Maine) placed 11th with a time of 13:55.2.
• Sophomore Rohen Brown (Auburn, Maine/Saint Dominic Academy) finished 15th at 14:53.5.
• Sophomore Addie Beale (South Berwick, Maine/Marshwood) placed 18th with a time of 15:11.6.
• Senior Elise Schultz (Windham, Maine) ran the course in 15:23.2 to place 22nd.
• Freshman Alias Falardeau (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) placed 29th with a time of 15:38.9.
• Freshman Jai-Yen Coffin (Brunswick, Maine) finished 31st with a time of 16:06.6.
• Freshman Julianna Libby (Limerick, Maine/Massabesic) placed 32nd with a time of 16:15.0.
