WATERVILLE, Maine – Freshman
Jaden Poirier (White River Junction, Vt./Hartford) shot six-over par (76) to tie for fourth at the Thomas College Invitational on Sunday at Waterville Country Club. The University of Southern Maine Huskies placed fourth in the team standings with a score of 323 (+43).
The event was won by Husson University with a team score of 303 (+23) and Husson's Jackson King shot even-par 70 to place first.
On the Course:
- Freshman Owen Moore (Pittsfield, Maine/Maine Central Institute) tied for 11th after firing an 80 (+10).
- Freshman Alex Fournier (Augusta, Maine/Cony) tied for 14th with an 81 (+11).
- Sophomore Jackson Horne (Woodsville, N.H.) competed with the Huskies' B team and tied for 18th with an 82 (+12).
- Senior Owen Doyle (Gardiner, Maine) also competed for the B team and tied for 20th (83, +13).
- Freshman Taylor Farr (Gorham, Maine) shot an 85 (+15) and tied for 20th as a member of the B team.
- Freshmen Alex Grant (St. Albans, Maine/Nokomis Regional) and Carter O'Connell (Monmouth, Maine/Monmouth Academy) tied for 28th with junior Sam Farr (Gorham, Maine). Each player shot an 86 (+16). Grant and Farr played on the A team.
- Freshman Colby Pope (Pembroke, N.H./Pembroke Academy) had an 83 (+13) for the B team.
