FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The University of Southern Maine men's golf team placed 16th at the Farmingdale State College Spring Invitational in the team's first event of the spring at Bethpage State Park's Red Course. Sophomore
Owen Moore (Pittsfield, Maine/Maine Central Institute) was the top performer for the Huskies with a two-round score of 148 (+8) to tie for 45th. Moore shot a 72 (+2) on Saturday in round one before firing a 76 (+6) in today's round. He had a total of five birdies over the two rounds. The Huskies placed 16th in the team standings with a score 602 (+42).

Sophomore
Alex Fournier (Augusta, Maine/Cony) tied for 59th with a score of 150 (+10) after shooting a 75 (+5) on each day with a pair of birdies in each round. He had the best second round for the Huskies. Sophomore
Alex Grant (St. Albans, Maine/Nokomis Regional) tied for 68th with a 152 (+12). Grant ended Saturday's round with three consecutive birdies and had two more in the first three holes of round two.

Freshman
Keenan Buteau (Scarborough, Maine) tied for 75th after carding a 153 (+15). He tied with Moore and Grant for the most birdies on the team with five over the two rounds. Sophomore
Jaden Poirier (White River Junction, Vt./Hartford) tied for 87th with a score of 156 (+16). He had three birdies in yesterday's round and had an eagle on the 15th hole in today's round.

The Huskies will compete at the New England College Spring Invitational on Sunday, April 26 before competing at the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championship on May 12-15, 2026 at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
