BREWSTER, Mass. – Freshman
Keenan Buteau (Scarborough, Maine) tied for third at the 2025 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Men's Golf Championship with a two-round score of 147 (+3). Buteau shot one-over par 73 in today's round to tie for the fourth-best round of the day after recording 12 pars and three birdies. All-New England honors are award to the top six finishers. He is the first Husky to earn All-New England honors since John Welch in 2021.

The Huskies finished fourth in the team standings with a two-round score of 614 (+38), the team's highest placement at the NEIGA Championship since the 2013 team placed third.

Sophomore
Alex Grant (St. Albans, Maine/Nokomis Regional) tied for 23rd with a 153 (+9) after shooting a 76 (+4) in today's round with three birdies. Sophomore
Alex Fournier (Augusta, Maine/Cony) tied for 40th with a 156 (+12). He shot a 76 (+4) in the second round with two birdies.

Finn Sharpe (Durham, Maine/Freeport) tied for 43rd with a two-round score of 158 (+14) while senior captain
Sam Farr (Gorham, Maine) tied for 89th with a 168 (+24). Â

The University of Hartford won the event with a score of 598 (+22) to beat Western New England University by two strokes. Western New England's Derek Johnson shot even-par 144 to earn the medalist hoor.

The Huskies will return to action in the spring with a handful of events leading up to the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championship on May 12-15, 2026 at Mission Resort + Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
