Huskies' Men's Lacrosse March 20 Youth Clinic

GORHAM, Maine  – The University of Southern Maine men's lacrosse team and coaching staff will be hosting a youth clinic on Sunday, March 20 from 10:00am until 12:00pm. The clinic will be held on the Hannaford Turf Field on the Gorham Campus of the University of Southern Maine.

The clinic is open to boys of all ages and skill levels and is geared to help players prepare for their upcoming seasons by improving individual skills based on their position. Additionally, the Husky lacrosse clinic aims to increase players' lacrosse IQ and reinforce fundamentals as well as instill respect for the game of lacrosse and provide an opportunity for participants to have fun while doing so. Focuses will include stickwork, dodging, footwork, and 1v1 defense. Following the first hour of skill specific work, the second hour of the clinic will consist of small-sided games and competitions.

The fee for the clinic is $50 with all proceeds going directly into the Men's Lacrosse Fundraising Account. Players should bring their own equipment and wear appropriate athletic attire including their own reversibles and shorts. Cleats should be worn for the turf and flat shoes brought in case weather causes the clinic to be moved into the Fieldhouse.

For more information about the clinic, contact Coach Sam Manders at (207)-210-2633.  Further information and online registration for the camp can be found at https://usm.maine.edu/athletic-camps-clinics/huskies-preseason-boys-lacrosse-clinic
